Hello! I continue my experiments with eslvideo site and today I present you a grammar test for beginners which was created by me. I communicate a lot with people who learn English as a foreign language and for many of them the verb “to be” is really a very difficult grammar topic. I this test I tried to give you a clear idea of the verb to be usage in Present Simple. I like eslvideo tests as you can watch an English learning video and then make this English grammar test.
Very often pronunciation is one of the main problems while learning English a foreign language and it is not surprising as you can learn grammar using different grammar books or you can find lots of information in Internet. As for vocabulary, you can learn words while reading books. But if you have no chance to communicate with native speakers or have lessons with a private tutor – it’s absolutely impossible to learn correct pronunciation. But now it is very easy to practice your pronunciation with video lessons where a native speaker shows you how to speak correctly. Many clever students need loads of easy English input, not hard science and math. Plenty of research internationally shows that hard content subjects taught in English are NOT the best avenue for most pupils, and can even be counter-productive – best to learn these in your first home language. That ensures best cognitive development.
